Super Falcons Star, Asisat Oshoala Joins Barcelona

Oshoala Completed Barcelona Move

Nigeria international striker, Asisat Oshoala has completed a loan move to Barcelona from Chinese Women’s Super League outfit Dalian Quanjian.

The 24-year-old three-time African Footballer of the Year completed her move after undergoing her medical on Thursday morning and has signed a contract with the Camp Nou outfit.

The Barcelona female team are currently placed second on the log, two points behind Atletico Madrid and six points above third-placed Levante.

Speaking after joining the club, Oshoala said:

“This is obviously one of the best clubs in the world. The team has a great history and a wonderful football mentality.”
“I am excited about playing with Vicky Losada again. She’s a great midfielder, with a lot of energy and skill. I also met Fabiana in China and she helped me to make this decision”.
“My goal is to strengthen the team and help them to win and make history. This is a fantastic opportunity because I’m sure something big will happen here.”
The super falcons’ star has been handed jersey no. 20 at her new club.

Ethan Ampadu Signs Five Year Extension Deal With Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder, Ethan Ampadu has signed a new five year contract extension with the club, on Wednesday. Ampadu, who plays for Wales has been battling to settle in the starting line up of Chelsea’s coach, Maurizio Sarri this season. The player in time past had stated that he was putting all efforts together so has to be included in the starting line up of the club. “ I’m really proud and happy, ” ESPN quoted Ampadu as saying. “ I’m looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen .”
